Tables wrecking footer, XHTML/CSS help needed

people expect things to happen when highlighted like that. the text is perfectly legible without it. bad practice imho.....
Maybe there will be stuff to click on later. ;)

what's wrong with the millions of other colours? i could understand if it was ocuk related - i know the rogues gallery/motors forum use the same colours to tie in but why does yours?
It was just the one I chose at random. I quite like it. No relation to OcUK at all. :)

And swapping tabs between OcUK and a sample page, mine is actually a slightly lighter shade of blue.

The hover or the colour? Later on the user will be able to click on each module name and get another table about that particular module.

As for the colour, like I said it was entirely random and I like the colour. There isn't any association to be realised between this site and OcUK at all. :)

you like the colour? that's fine. :)

but to say it's "entirely random" is pushing it a little, don't you think? :p anyway, just ignore me. i'm nitpicking. :D

ok it's fixed now.

don't know if it's the ff extension thats doing it or ie, but when viewing the page in ie from using the ie extension the highlighting whe hovering over the table rows it's extremely slow to highlight and if you change which you are howevering over quickly it has a very noticable ghosting type effect and missing a random ones so looks messy.

may just be a ff extension thing not sure, maybe someone can confirm using ie?

[edit] i think marc was saying it is pushing it a bit because it isn't exactly entirely random if the colour was taken from ocuk, however who cares, when designing websites i look at others i like the look of and make ones i like so obviously sometimes you will be "copying" some website. for this site though it really is not a problem and i see no reason for all the comotion about it

It's OK for me in Opera and Firefox. No idea about IE7 as it refuses to open the files for some reason. The css may not be the updated one yet.

pushing the boundaries of truth. ;)
I r underboss and you don't believe me? :( :p

I might change the colour later. I chose some colours I liked early on in the project and took some screenshots to show my lecturer. I think he quite liked this colour as well. Now if he's an OcUKer then I'll admit a relationship between OcUK and my project site. :D
