I would get in touch with your ram supplier and see if you can replace it on your warrenty. Id also hangfire a while longer now that newer and cheaper to make ssds are about to get released. Id sell your gpu and probably get a radeon 5850 or something similar. Radeon is better if your a student as they are less power hungry and cheaper on the electricity bills

What happened!
Well i have my MSI gtx460 Hawk, and my kingston ram - both installed - and I just got my mouse delivered so am about to test drive this stuff.
Been fiddling with msi afterburner too to get some gpu overclock, also been starting (finally) to lean to cpu overclock - only moved from 3.0 Hgz to 3.06 but still it worked lol, so more fun to be had there. (luckily my 680i sli has seperate speeds from fsb memory and cpu so i dont have to hate my cheap ass ram
).

instead of using gamesave manager you could also just have two steam directories, and then just run whichever version hs the game on that you want to run, although obviously you would occasionally want to switch the installed games over to whichever you are playing all the time.
