Tae Kwno Do at the Olymlics

I did ITF TKD for many years and enjoyed it immensely. It's not a complete system but it's more rounded than WTF. WTF takekwondo is a sport promoted by the South Koreans. There is a lot of training, conditioning and skill involved but as a martial art it's completely ineffective.

Watched the British girl go out early on and it was just a weird fight. Hard to tell what was really going on and it was very dull. Just lots of holding when the other girl knew she was ahead and both girls bopping around on one foot flicking at each other. I'm surprised they haven't tried to make it a better spectacle by changing the rules.

That's the problem with it. Imagine there were no live scores and they were scored at the end of each round like boxing. No one would have a clue what was going on. It's easy to go "yay" when your "team" is winning but it isn't something you can really get behind as it all seems so random. :/

This, dressage and skateboarding really need to be taken out of the Olympics. They are just to dull to watch.

Don't you be dissing the donkey dancing.

But seriously, it's a ****ing mystery as well. :D

How does it work? Do they have sensors in the helmet/chest protection? It seemed like that British lass got dumped out because she got touched by someone's toe....doesn't look like a martial art at all tbh.
