Hi chaps

Anyone have any experiance of tailored matts that are not from main dealers.

I want some totally plain black matts, willing to pay for quality items at less than stealer prices so any really good sellers on ebay or anything?

Do they use the OEM matt fitting points (the little holes etc)

I have sets for three different cars now from http://www.carmats4u.com/ . Mine are still going strong after what must be 5 years.

Only one of the cars had existing anchor holes in the floor, in that case the holes matched up. For the other cars I think we received fixtures that were supposed to screw into the carpet (but didn't bother using them). When you go through the purchase process you can see a rendering of the pattern they use for comparison.

My Saxo VTR came with some horrible rubber mats in the front and nothing in the rear :(.

I bought a set from http://www.justmatz.co.uk/mat-e.php and they've been great :). I went for "Executive" mats (decent thickness carpet) and got them with the piping and VTR logo in the same colour as my paint. You tell them the make/model/year of your car and whilst they took just short of a month to come they fit perfectly .

I don't understand why someone would pay £55 for some "executive mats" when you can get genuine ones for the same price/cheaper? I got some genuine ford focus ones direct from a ford dealer for £22, front and rear. Although got some genuine Renault Sport ones for my Clio and they cost £50, although they are decent quality. :)

Back to after market ones however, ebay seem to have a lot of tailored ones.

Is this for a BMW? If so I would strongly recommend that you get them from a dealer anyway. Perfect fitment and very high quality. Worth asking for a discount too.

Definitely go for OEM ones. With the 'tailored' mats, you won't get the same clip fittings and are generally poorer quality.

Another vote for justmatz, Ive used them twice and their mats are top notch. They will provide the correct and original fittings for your car (they do for VW's anyway). You can have one of their pre done logos or have your own tailor made.

Experience with poor wearing or naff looking OEM mats. If the manufacturer in question offers decent mats then that would indeed be preferable.

Just bought some for the same company fitted them this weekend, all the screws work as they should and the fitting is spot on. So far very impressed with them.

I got some off ebay for around £25 after finding out dealer ones were something like £70.

They're decent quality (imo), thick piles and stay in place well

I have a Corolla, i've decided to get genuine matts as i've found they do ones with little T-Sport badges and that makes me moist, £50 but nevermind at least they'll look cool and hopefully last a while

Thanks for the help and as for the spelling what can I say i'm a tard
