A young Bryan Mills must fight to overcome personal tragedy and exact revenge on those responsible in this modern-day origin story to the "Taken" film trilogy. Still reeling from the devastating murder of his younger sister, Mills is quickly recruited by Christina Hart -- the leader of a covert CIA operation -- to work on her team. The job awakens a very particular -- and very dangerous -- set of skills in the former Green Beret. As Mills struggles to heal, he finds himself growing closer to Asha, his sister's friend.

Watching it but don't find him the best of actors, although he wasn't/isn't too bad as rollo in Vikings. All seems a bit forced also, but it's a fairly easy detach-the-brain watch I suppose.

Nah, this is just another low budget per-episode short arc cops + magical sidekick setup. Complete with deliver-solution-under-10-seconds "high tech" and "enhance" interfaces. I honestly don't understand why they need film franchise licenses for these things - it has completely nothing to do with Liam Neeson's offspring being kidnapped and doesn't utilise a single plot point of the original movies. You could call it Commando or Rambo or Under Siege prequel and it would work just the same - some guy in unrelated to the original movie environment venting off by punching baddies for the government "off the books" grey ops.
