Greetings GD,

I'm off to Holland at the weekend to see my lady friend, and I'm thinking of taking a rose with me for her... Do you think I'll be able to do this?

Only if someone on the plane isn't allergic to flowers (see my peanuts on plane thread ;)).

P.S. I'm presuming these are legal flowers and not other types of 'plant' :D

It's a gamble I'm willing to take ;)

e: Why would i take weed TO Holland?! :D

Holland is where a lot of flowers come from mate, may as well buy it from over there :p

I'm meeting her at the airport, so waiting until we've travelling will look a bit rubbish ;)

is peanuts on a plane the snakes on a plane sequel?

why not buy one in NL anyway OP. surely better there... or go for tulips, she wont be sick of seeing them yet ;)

I bought an aloe vera plant back from India, I'd presume it's fine :p

Just stick it in your backpack or w/e, a single rose can't be that much of a problem

I can't really put in *in* the backpack as it'll get crushed... And even then I'd need it get it past the scanners IF there's going to be a problem
