ok change of plan, what about a mac powerbook, i only use the lappy for downloading and internet stuff. is that worth it and do i need talking out of this idea.

i recently had a play with mu cousin's one running osx and was very impressed more so than vista!

If I were you, get a Dell XPS M1710. Much better priced/specced than any other top end laptop IMO.

just think about all that money! you could buy a GREAT laptop every year for the same money ...

I've already been talked out of it,

looking at a c2d macbook pro now, half the price/size and a fraction of the weight, does everything i need my laptop to do (download and surf the net)

and having played with osx it appears vista is a poor rip off!

The macbook pro's are amazing

I only ever saw one once, on a train. I went up and asked the poor guy about the spec rather to his shock, obviously he had no idea and got off at the next stop and i never saw a macbook pro again

Talk me out of it please!!!
