Talk Talk taking the ****?

Im in the middle of moving from TalkTalk to Sky broadband. Sky wont be activated till middle of next week.

Ever since talktalk received a request that the line was to be changed my internet has ground to a halt nearly. Pings to british servers are over 100 and i cant download any faster than 0.2Mbps.

Are talktalk doing this on purpose to **** me off?

To be honest it sounds like it - they just giving you bare minimum requirements but I can't say for sure since when I moved from Tiscali to AOL years ago the whole reason why I moved was because of 'broadband' services like that (they throttled me, presumably because I was a 'heavy user', LOL).

Sounds like congestion.

TalkTalk seem very quick to reduce a service when people leave. You're not the first to complain to me about this...

If you could post a traceroute and a ping to a somewhat well known and stable website (Such as google.co.uk) it would help us further investigate the issue.
