Talk to me about large hard-drives

I've got that many games and stuff installed at the moment I'm running 4 different hard-drives consisting of 2X 250GB and 2 X 120GB.

So I was thinkin of cutting this down into one main hard-drive (freeing up some air-flow) and putting one of my 250GB in an Icybox for backing things up on.

I dont know a lot about hard-drives so what the best 1T to go for, faster the better for under £100.

I current use a SataII 250GB 7200rpm for my O/S

My local computer guy has recommended me a Samsung 1T 32MB cache for £96

Samsung F1 or WD Caviar Black.
(WD beats even normal Raptors in single user performance)

Why wasnt NCQ turned on for the ADFD raptors? seems strange....

Because NCQ hurts performance in almost every scenario except deeper queues due to multi-user server environments.
