Talktalk DSL on own kit

Hi guys,

Asking for a friend; she's just left Sky DSL, which was rock solid and gone over to Talktalk and now she's getting regular connection drops... Can be solid for a couple of days, that's the max, but can drop after minutes - there's quite a range!

She's been on the phone to them and they've done all their remote checks and "fixes" but to no avail. I suspect the kit, it's a rather flaky looking D-Link. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to use your own kit with Talktalk? I've got some old, but solid Netgear and Billion stuff to loan her

Haha, it's almost like you've used it? Sync loss, but reconnecting on the same profile, regular WiFi drops.. not had any reboots yet thought from what I've seen?
