What are TalkTalk really like? I am currently with Zen and Plusnet, paying £30 to Zen for broadband (200GB a month) and £20 to Plusnet for unlimited any time phone calls (landlines) and line rental.

TalkTalk will offer broadband and phone for £19.95 which includes unlimited broadband and anytime calls (landlines). The only problem is that it is a 12 month contract, so I am stuck with them.

What are TalkTalk really like? Should I stay put?

Stay with Zen, TalkTalk broadband is very unreliable, especially during peak times. Was with them before and it was so bad in my area it was impossible to get a usable connection during the evening.

If you're considering moving to something cheaper from what you have now, then Sky or Be are good choices, assuming their LLU packages are avaliable at your exchange.

I have always heard negative comments about Talk Talk, but I have never had a problem. I am probably lucky because of my area. I regularly download around 300 GB each month with no issue.

Due to majority of users having issues I would stay where you are. :)

I am also on their LLU package.

im currently on talktalk plus everything is fine for me aside from their adsl modem router (dodgy portfowarding for some reason) which im planning to replace soon

£30 for unlimited uk landlines and broadband usage

talktalk is very good but you need to use the online forum for help in setting up your line as standard the line is a bit choppy but as soon as you get on the forum and ask for fasttrack line and they tune your line nicely.

I live in the middle of no where so I can only use phone line and out of the ones I tried (talktalk virgin bt sky plusnet) they are by far the best ping and upload.

But the main difference being that talktalk will give me a very very low ping. In battlefield my ping is never above 20ms in english lobby and is just 7ms on speedtest.

They are currently doing me unlimited mobile and unlimited house phone and unlimited internet and free love film and free youview box and line rental all for £25 a month.

My relatives on bt pay £25 just for broadband nothing else included so for me they are great deal and as I said once you get on the forum get your line running perfect.

I have recommended them to friends who didn't really like them but this is because they were to lazy to get registered on the forum and get there line stable.

Apparently the online forum support is very good and if one just uses that, it is good. Can anybody confirm?

Ive used it a couple of times. When I needed a new adsl router and when I had instability (mostly involves changing datapaths). The response is delayed about 2-3 days since they process previous threads first but once they got ur thread its quite good.
