'Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby' **SPOILERS**

Anchorman sucked except for Steve Carrell killing some dude.

Agreed
Anchorman was pure ****. What a waste of time that was..... Can't believe people find Will Ferrell funny!!... Noel Edmonds is funner and that's saying something!!! :)

Now I've not seen much of Ferrell's work, but Talladega Nights was pretty poor!

It started well enough, the saying grace seen was pretty good, and then it took an absolute nosedive until Michael Clarke Duncan starts talking about dressing up as Donna Summers [sic] in the end credits.

Sacha Baron Cohen's character wasn't funny in the slightest! Though his 'I watched your Highlander film last night, it was ****!' made me crack a smile.

Please tell me that Anchorman, Old School etc are a lot funnier, as I was hoping to getting round to see them soon!

I sometimes think that Will Ferrell is too similar to Adam Sandler (genius imo). He has definitely gone down the same path as Sandler. SNL to comedy films in the same vane.

Please tell me that you are kidding about Adam Sandler being a genius, he is the most overrated thing since bread started coming pre-cut. I've tried watching a fair few of his films and I don't find him or them funny, ok I'll laugh occasionally but even a broken watch gets it right twice a day. I'll agree that Ferrell is in the same vein, probably better as a supporting actor but nothing special there either.

Personal opinions I guess, but he was my favourite on SNL and I really enjoyed all his films.

I thought it was pretty poor compared to the others. Funniest bit for me was when he stabbed himsefl in the leg and they suggest to use another knife to prise the first one out.

watched the film last night, no way near as good as anchorman but i still thought it was great. Almost died at the knife in the leg bit, was so damn funny :p My favourite quote:

"This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient! but I do love Fig Newtons."

Doctor "His problem is purely psychosomatic".
Cal: "When you say 'psychosomatic,' do you mean he can start fires with his mind?"
