I couldn't find a thread about this game and it's so good that I thought I ought to start one.

Launch Trailer

The core gameplay is very similar to portal in that you move/manipulate objects to solve puzzles but so far the puzzles have been great fun and the challenge is ramping up nicely.

There's also a fair chunk of narrative, mostly via terminals and a "god" who narrates (slightly like Stanley Parable). The worlds are quite cool to explore and I've already found a few secrets dotted about. There has clearly been a lot of time put in and it's getting some good reviews on gaming sites and Steam.

The only slight downer is it's quite expensive for what could be viewed as an Indie game but you can get it cheaper if you don't mind using one of the sites selling Russian Steam Gift codes.

There's a short Public Test that is definitely worth trying, if you like that then the game is probably an easy purchase.

Bumping this up as I've just completed it and it's probably my GOTY. It's smarter than Portal and the overarching plot/philosophy is very well done too.

If you enjoy puzzle games then pick it up now or make a note to grab it as soon as it's on sale. You'll thank me I promise :)

Bought it in the sales, sat and played for 7 hours straight on first load up, there hasn't been a AAA title in the last decade that grabbed me like that.

I played the demo of this and I thought it was pretty cool but it didn't grab me...is there something I'm missing?

You need to get into the story its as important as the actual gameplay and puzzle solving, then there's the absolutely ridiculous amount of easter eggs and secrets that are full of twisted humour, warped mindset and just plain stupidness.

Would this be playable on a 2014 MacBook Pro, looks interesting and I always like to use my Mac for non mainstream games like papers please and shadowrun.

It's on sale now on steam for a tenner so thought it may be worth a punt?

Yeah I guess so. I'm replaying Portal 2 at the moment and it's similar in that regard.

Got the new DLC today and all I can say is its sodding hard and I mean mega hard. The first puzzle took me about 20 mins to work out and I've only done 3 so far....

Did anyone have any issues with XAUDIO on headphones?

If I use XAUDIO on corsair H2100's, Elohim's voice has a nasty reverb rasp to it. Switching to OpenAL cures it.

Necro - sorry!

...but this is a very good game. Some of the C section puzzles are fiendishly difficult though. It's really a mental workout figuring out how to do some of them. I think I accidentally glitched a couple of levels which helped me solve the seemingly impossible.

Love the narrative as well and I've found a few easter eggs and two messengers!

The only thing I think that spoils it is the Tetris piece puzzles - it feels more like trial and error than skill.

Yep its indeed brilliant, one of the best games I've played in recent years. I've recently played through it all again and loved it as much the second time. The soundtrack is mesmerising.

Just keep an eye out for the those easter eggs and references if that's your thing, there are loads!
