Tamron 17-50 de-centered?

Hi all

I recently bought this lens for my Canon 650D and whilst it maybe normal for this lens to be soft at the sides, it seems to be much worse on the right side of the frame. It also seems to be happening at apertures such as F5.6 and F8, which is suppose to the the sweet spot for this lens

Here is a sample I took of my Blu-Ray collection. Here, my Xbox 360 seems to be in sharp focus, so I don't know what's going on.

As for a brick wall, there is an image I took on my flicker page titled "de-centered?" I noticed the bricks on the right were quite soft.

Out of focus because of de-centering or is it more down to me? Sorry I'm still learning when it comes to photography
