It seems to be amusing to some, so each to their own, but I'm in the dislike Marmite camp. I'd have also not green lit it, if I were Ch4. What a embarrassment to then buy it back and it tank as they expected.

The Joe Wilkinson potato incident is one of the most compelling pieces of TV I've ever seen.

We're a big fan at home. The hardest I laughed was at Alan Davis drawing a face on his own face and the subsequent studio analysis.

It's very dependent on the group dynamic and who you find funny too.

Love it, but some seasons can be hit and miss with the contestants.

Love it too, one of those shows where you start off a season wanting contestants from previous seasons but you then start warming to the current crop. Not the sort of show you can just drop into the middle of I'd imagine.

I find this show frustrates me when they don't follow the rules and get away with it. I get it's a comedy setup but the tasks lose their fun if people cheat and do stupid stuff.

As mentioned, all the C4 series were filmed during lockdowns/social distancing rules, which did have a negative impact on the funny, IMO

Series 13 doesn't appear to have had many restrictions though

Yeah, I admit I'm not very popular with the louder members of the forum, no.... some would even say I'm a ****, but I suspect they're either projecting or just trying really hard to be witty...

I think series 13 has been very funny so far, hope it continues.

All the contestants have been good so far, there's not really a weak link. I particularly like Ardal constantly criticising everyone else's tasks in the studio - never had somebody do that so consistently before.

Must admit surprised by the lack of input into the taskmaster thread. Series 19 cast has just been announced, Jason Mantzoukas should be good and No Way they got another Ramsey on. Stevie should be interesting, but apart from the paint advert haven't seen her in much, Fatiha will probably do to Alex what Joanne McNally did and make him extremely uncomfortable like she did to Jimmy Car on Big Fat Quiz and the Ghosts guy is supposed to be funny. Fingers cross for a decent season.

Still think they could do with a bit of extra star power, one big legacy act would be good.

I think Jason is taking the elder role this season, over 50 and probably the biggest name to be on UK Taskmaster really, but whilst a big name who I immediately recognised Im sure there will be many who wont.
