Tassimo discs?

Our office did a group buy on a Tassimo machine. I used to get my pods at Tesco. I only ever used to get Crema Intenso though which didn't require more than just one pod to make it so 16 drinks were only £3.90 (think that's right). I never could find them any cheaper online. Gone back to Nescafe Azera for work now though. Does the job when needed and it's cheaper.
 
The reason for pod machines is they are just so convenient and the coffee is nicer than the usual instant. Also given they cost so much it stops me from drinking as much coffee as I normally would :)

They must have a patent on the pods to stop others from producing them cheaper :( Just keep an eye out on quido/hotukdeals etc and buy when the offers come on.
 
They sell them at my Tesco so that's usually where I get mine. Sometimes get them from the Tassimo website or Amazon if theres any deal.
 
one of my friends bought a tassimo and honestly it's crap the only good drinks are when you use a milk disc as well otherwise cafetiere coffee tastes just as good even with cheap coffee from a supermarket

Tassimo does not compete with proper coffee

Tassimo however, is very good for a better coffee than instant, and to me its worth the cost.
 
As someone who's just bought a machine, I just got a load off the tassimo website. Sure, it came with vouchers for 10 quid, but it did mean I got 8 packs of coffee/latte for about £25.
 
if there isn't a 3rd party doing tassimo pods then that's probably to do that the tassimo patent is still active. Unlike the nespresso pod patent which ran out a few years ago.
However as a nespresso machine owner the 3rd party pods from a coffee taste standpoint are crap, so I only buy from nespresso directly.

If you think it's too expensive you shouldn't have bought a pod machine. :)
 
Although they don't do Tassimo pods, I find this site best for compatible pods.
Not sure what the Nespresso ones are like but their Dolce Gusto compatible pods are brilliant.
