... or at least that's what the bird of prey thought! :p ;)

It had swooped down and caught the blackbird unawares. Didn't even get a chance to trake off!

First one was taken using a 350D with my 170-500mm Sigma the other two were from my 55-200mm kit lens as i found i could get very close: (Also, sorry if the colours, etc are out - can only edit them on my work machine and i know for a fact the monitors colour/contrast/brightness is waaaay out!)

Wow!
An absolutely fantastic shot! Once the colours are improved a little that's a beauty!
Thanks!

Could you give that a try for me? Just so i can see how far this monitor is out.

Is it too underexposed or washed out?

It's a little washed out, I have just adjusted the levels, curve, colours and saturation a little bit in this one. I've also cropped out the particularly bright bit on the bottom left as I found it distracting. They're brilliant pictures though

Thanks so much Raikiri.

I've just readjusted my monitor to work with your image! That crop works well too - thanks.

That shot was taken from about 10-12ft away. It was just totally engrosed in it's meal - it only flew away when one of my colleagues jumped into his (diesel) car and started it up.

Thanks again pal! :)

Nice angle you got there! Well done!

I'm viewing this on work laptop so I cant comment on colours or contrast either.

Thanks Joe,

I know what you mean. Just got home to my 226bw and i can really see how washed out they were... sorry guys! :(

Raikiri's reworking of my initial poor attempt really looks stunning in comparison! :)
