Who here has a tattoo, every member in my family even my granddad had a few but he was a POW and got a few in the army when it was beyond cool to have them.

Personally I have never found a "design" or "idea" that I could ever live with and I have vowed that I will never get one, ever for a loved one, I see them as being shallow, love is more than just ink.

I think about it every time it takes my fancy, but not found anything I like nor been excited enough to deface myself as of yet.

No and I will never get one. I know some people have them to show affection or whatever but I just don't get it. There are better ways than having something drawn on your body.

If people actually see the tattoo as art and decorative then I totally understand

Tattoos are always gunna cause divides. some people love 'em, some people don't. As you mentioned in your OP you havent found a design you'd be happy with. Most people who have them will tell you they wouldnt have got it even if they were 1% unsure.

Some people can get away with them and actually look better, most people cant however and it just looks dreadful. I often think girls with tatoos look particually bad. That'll be my personal take on it

Perfectly happy with them, and by the time I'm old and they look daft, I won't exactly have a body worth showing off anyway.

It's interesting how many people have one and are considering another. i've not met one person who has had one and doesnt want another. Any ideas?

None and no particular plans to get any, I've not seen anything that I'd want indelibly marked to me but I do think that some tattoos look very cool on other people so I've got nothing against them, they just aren't for me.
