Tattoo ideas?

firstly, if you dont agree with tattoos, please dont reply. its my body, its want i want, blah blah blah

a while ago i posted an idea for a new tattoo. ive spent a while revising it, and this is the current stage im at.

now im having a few troubles. firstly, the middle bit. havent a clue what to put there, if anything. ive sketch an eye shape as you can see.

secondly, you can see lines in between the "ridges". im having trouble deciding what to do here. should i use those lines? maybe add something on the lines? or leave them out all together?

any ideas guys n gals?

edit - that sketch isnt finished yet, its WIP, hence me asking now for ideas. you can just about see the faint guide lines and pencil additions.

i was considering that, but i dont know how busy the tattooist/s will be, and how quick they work on designs. theres now rush but still, they might end up taking the P.

im going to finish with the ridges, and then try a couple of ideas in pencil for the other parts.

yes, it will be just black (and skin obviously)

the guide line is just that, a guide, and as you can see on the inked parts, it is thicker once i go over it. and i also mentioned, it is WIP (does no one know what this means?) and i will be going over the vast majority of the guide lines.
 
i will say again, i asked for ideas for the centre piece and the parts in between the ridges. the stuff ive drawn in pencil is stuff i am inking anyway.

does no one read posts properly?

As for your design, i like it. But would the thinner lines stand out that well? It's just from the sketch it seems all the attention is aimed at the spikey things and the actually lines going around seem a bit thin.. maybe thats how its meant to be :)

even if i stop the ridges where they end atm (in pencil)? or i could add another 1-2 to take them round further, then draw in the swirl, there would be less actual swirl but it would look better.

why is it odd? lots of people have initials on themselves. you could easily say any idea for a tattoo is odd but heh.

the fact it looks remotely tribal is shear coincidence tbh. i imagine it more as kind of like dragon scales or something.

im not a big fan of tribal either. saying i am after one design ive drawn is very narrow minded of you.
 
if i could add flames somehow to the areas between the ridges that would look cool i reckon.

about the eye in the middle. i need some reference pictures to get an idea on how to draw it heh.
 
of course i like it. but still, saying i am a tribal fan after one design is still silly, and ive stated that it was coincidence.

Mohinder - maybe word yourself a tad better next time? and as to you not "getting" the P... do you truely "get" why anyone has any tattoo? i doubt it.

its my first initial. plus, my brother got his own 'P' done a good few years ago, in a very different style (think of a crescent moon and a circle to make a P shape) and i just thought it would be nice to get my own 'P'. me and my bro are quite close and we get on well so..

Manor - heck no. im only drawing it A4 size to get the detail in. it will be about 6 inches max. from top to bottom. its going on my upper right arm.

sorry but i dont think you would. only the person whom the tattoo was design by, and more likely worn by, would ever "get" it.
 
I know you never insulted my choice and yes, i asked for ideas. If you have non, honestly, why post?

If you dont get it, fair enough. I dont need anyone to "get" it. I simply asked for ideas on the design.
