Well, there have been a few threads on what tattoo to get and what not. Now I'm going to ask about tattoo removal lol.

Just wondering if anyone here has had any treatments, either laser or surgery, their experiences etc.
Asking because my tattoo has just put my Army application on hold, and has left me up **** creek basically. Up untill about 4 days ago, it would have been fine where it is(back on my neck below shirt collar line) but as from the Monday just gone, the rules were changed, and now it would have to be below the t-shirt line :mad: :(. I'm SO incredibly gutted at the moment, but I know if I get it removed, I can get my application started again from the same place.

You wont want to go laser your tattoo off. My friend got his tattoo removed and he was going mad through the ordeal. It was just so painful. Not just that, the cost is ten times more than what you paid to put your tattoo.
 
I'm not sure of the rules changing, i will look into this for you if you want, but i have tattoos that can be seen, there are also soldiers who have whole sleeves down to the cuff tattoos on hands the whole works.
 
Just cut the flesh out with a surgical knife and learn the lessons that tattoos are scummy and make you look like a joke.

Nah they have changed, two seperate recruiting offices have told me. Its a load of crap tbh, my Recruiting Sgt is gutted for me. You now cant have anything past the sleeve line either for wrists/hands. Once you're in the army, you can get them no trouble, they don't care then, but as I'm only applying at the moment, they said no :(.

I've got more than 1 lol, just need to get the one on the back on my neck removed. I love my tattoos, and will get it redone somewhere else on my body most likley, I think tattoos are brillaint.

And I'm already considering scarification bodymod to remove the flesh.
 
Can't you just use some body-paint (makeup) to mask it up until you get in, where nobody is likely to care.
 
^^^ probs best way actually as they never get completly removed with lasers or anything theres always faint pigment.....and surgical removing....no thanks!!!!
 
My RSM has huge patches on his forarms where he had them removed years ago via skin graft, he said it hurt like a bitch mind.

Just what I was going to say theres plenty of heavy make up designed for covering tattoos and scars
