It seems as if the owner of the tattoo thinks they're so special, so great, that they should tattoo their own name on themselves, so everyone knows who they are.

Arent you an advocate of people getting whatever tattoo they like? That they dont need to have special meaning etc, just look good. Or was that Penski?

I didn't tell him not to get it, I only said what I think when I see someone with their own name tattooed on them.

Just seemed a bit strange that youd say summit like that...no biggie though..
 
if you're sure you deff want one of the two done - just have rees done - you can always have the y added to it
like other people have said, will you still be 'reesy' when you're a dad, a grandad etc etc or will the y be lost with your youth?

draw it on in pen and live with it for a while, best way to decide :)

one of my flatmates bfs has his indian name and english 'nick name' on his fore arms - i've never understood having your own name on you - most people will automatically presume its a partner or kids name, well, if most people think like me :shrug:
