Only drink loose leaf tea, usually black tea, earl grey or white tea. No milk or sugar

I use a big metal teapot, i've also got a couple of ceramic ones that are short and stout.

The metal one was the only one I could find at the time that could do about 6 man size mugs at a go.
The only problem is I do have to clean the spout every now and then, and it would be a problem with cooling down fairly quickly if any tea was ever left in there for more than about 15 minutes.

My advise for getting a tea pot is failry simple, work out what cups/mugs you're going to use, how many you'll be doing at once on a regular basis then look for a teapot based on that.
 
I've been on a mission for the past month or so to get through all the various fruit and chinese teas we've acquired over the years. Probably got another couple of months ahead of me...

I'm in the market to up my tea game...

I fondly remember making tea in a massive pot at one of my older workplaces.

I'd like to get a tea-pot....I think two cups would be the perfect size.....What teapot do you recommend?

Also please share your variations on the brew.

As for tea, I can highly recommend Waterloo Tea. Lovely guys and some amazing teas. Can also recommend Postcard Teas.

I'm still wanting to try using one of these to brew with. Looks interesting and very cool.

For lovers of Earl Grey tea, have you tried Tetley Earl Grey Extra T-bags? I tried their ordinary Earl Grey before and ended up binning them as they were weak and tasted like dishwater. Normally I stick to Taylors of Harrogate, Twinnings or Clipper Organic Earl Grey (Tesco extra special isn't bad either) but seeing the word "Extra" after Tetley Earl Grey (being priced at 50p also helped a lot) I thought I would give them a go and theey were actually very decent. I would place them above Twinings for flavour but typically nobody sells them now.

I see PG Tips have a new range out now called Special Blends and includes a Earl Grey so I will give them a try when I see them on offer somewhere.

I really must get a tea pot with filter so I can try the huge variety of loose teas.
 
Both tea and coffee give me a horrid acid reflux aftertaste in my throat these days, started ~3 years ago, but as a caffeine addict I have to endure the suffering.

Let's get one thing straight, 'fruit teas' are not tea.

They're hot fruit juice.
 
Drop the PG Tips tea bag in the mug, add water, stir, add milk and sugar, stir again, remove the tea bag (for God's sake remove the tea bag).

Or, use Earl Grey and replace milk and sugar with honey and lemon.

There us a bit of Lord Snooty in a few posts. Having worked on quite z few construction site when you get back to the cabin and boil the kettle,take a tea bag out of the cardboard box on the worktop add water, add sugar from the bag likewise on the worktop, sniff the milk, frown at the date add a splash. Sip and enjoy. It is equally done to leave the tea bag in until the dregs if you wish for a proper builders tea.

If I am being a but posh, Twinings English breakfast will do.
