Teach me about the Intel DG45ID

Frankly I wouldn't bother if you aren't using the onboard gfx or sound. The new graphics chipset is the selling point of the new G45 boards.

They are really untested boards, so I'd stick with the proven technology of the Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R, loads of people use and love them, and are apparently great overclockers.

was hoping you'd reply.

Thanks. Picked up your PSU as well

At the end of the day, a Mobo is what £100 tops so hardly an expensive upgrade.

I do however need dual PCI-E x1 slots and one PCI slot. Does this Gigabyte board have that?

From the Gigabyte Website, the GA-G33M-DS2R has:
1. 1 x PCI Express X16 slot
2. 1 x PCI Express X4 slot
3. 2 x PCI slots

I can't speak from experience, but from lots of research on here for my build, it appears in any 'best motherboard' thread.

There are hardly any reviews of the G45's so I'd be loathe to recommend anyone going with them. Even less so if you have no intention of using the onboard graphics.
