Basically I'm wondering what kind of connectivity specs are required of an LCD monitor in order to play high def content from PC (HD video files) and to plug it into an Xbox 360 for HD gaming. I'm in the market for a new LCD display, I'm not looking for recommendations for the the actual unit yet, just wondering what kind of connectivity specs are going to be most useful/important for me. Any heads up would be appreciated :). <-- LCD noob.

Does your 360 have a HDMI out? Does your graphics card have a DVI out?

HDMI is probably the most versatile connection and gives the best results.

You may need component inputs as well if your 360 doesn't have a HDMI port, no too sure. You can get a DVI to HDMI convertor for your PC if it doesn't have HDMI out.

I would use these over VGA everytime
