Anyone got a link or a crash course into how i can flash my bios?

i have a asus P5kC and was recopmmended as i have a problem with it booting up apparently a asus /Ocz mixture is not uncommon to have problems.

thanks

Using the Asus EZ Flash 2 utility with a USB stick is the safest way.

Just follow these instructions and you'll be fine:

Disclaimer: there is always a risk involved when flashing the BIOS. Also, remmeber to clear the CMOS after the flash.

OK had a read and found the bios i require....Latest.
Bit unsure as to installation though it asks to install it via a AFUDOS tool, after aquiring it i ran the .exe but nothing happens?
Should i run it when in the BIOS setup program...asus website isnt very clear how to use it and am a bit of a noob in this area.
Also refresh my memory on were and how i can clear the CMOS after flash?!

Just follow the image above, basically enter your bios find the EZ Flash option normally second last menu within bios. Load the bios from your flash drive and it will flash and your done. Remember to have the flash drive in before you boot up the computer.

i would but the download links are dead on the asus site :-S

anyone else try for me see if its just me...?

EDIT: PK5C - Vista 32

Or you could strip naked, put on a long overcoat and simply open it at will... however, do be aware that this carries a risk of getting arrested! ;)

I was just about to say, never post a thread title like that on these forums as some people will be more than willing to oblige. :D:D:D

For Asus boards always use the EZ-Flash utility. Stick the bios on a usb stick and hit Alt+F2 on startup. Never, ever use a windows flashing utility. That does'nt mean getting your kit off outside someones window either. ;)
