Anyone had experience of the online teaching TEFL modules?

Me and the missus are very interested in doing this for a year before we decide whether to emigrate or not. Do some teaching and then a few months in Australia. The missus is a trained teacher already so she should have no issues, I think...

well my options have now narrowed to either:

a) do an online tefol via i to i £200 - £400

b) save up now quit job in feb/march and move to Edinburgh for a month and do a 1 month certTESOL then move to Taiwan after its done.

just a wee update on this. :D Have another celta interview in Glasgow for a course in June :) I shouldnt have any problems with the interview (even though its 2 1/2 hours long) as ive already done an interview for this before.

Hope to fly out to Taiwan in August armed only with my cv a bucketload of business cards and some contacts (will hopefully know a couple of ppl when i get there)

Competition for jobs is a bit tougher than the old days (apparently) but having a celta should be a bonus.

not that anyone gives a monkeys.. just had the celta interview....

bugger me it was tough :(

The bit i thought would be the toughest (teaching a mini lesson and the group task) was actually the easiest bit but bugger me the written task was bloody hard. (and i've done one before and passed) Did'nt have enough time to finish unfortunately...

Dont find out till friday whether i make it.....was pretty competitive as well quite a few were already flippin teachers!

3 hrs of fun..

well apparently i underestimated my teaching skills and all round grooviness :D They accepted me onto the course :D

in June ! better get my balls in gear....lots of studying :( :D

Congrats, are you doing the 4 week intense one? If so prepare for ULTIMATE INTENSITY. It's a case of learn one thing one night, apply it the following morning and its like that for the entire month. There were are lot of tears in my group, but the tutors are there to help and guide you through. Best advice is to keep on top of it everyday, dont slack you cant afford to
