Team dont know...

Just had a e mail saying my new TV will be here tomorrow which is like a birthday present as its my birthday tomorrow :)
 
Well,Helen at Currys lived up to her e-mail as at 12 noon my new TV turned up and they took my old one.

It was funny when the driver turned up....this is the 3rd or 4th time I've picked your TV up :)

Let's hope this TV behaves.
 
I remember when I worked there years ago how frustrating it was that the repair service was always awful. I remember this chap sending his TV off because a speaker was buzzing a bit, and it came back with a big hole in the screen. Twice. Bezels all scratched up by the time it was finally repaired. And he had paid 500 quid for our whatever happens service. Eventually I managed to get him a replacement, but it is absurd how restricted the staff are. I wanted to give him a replacement straight away but just couldn't get it authorised until he'd had 3 repairs.

It is stupid how they think some people can be put off with answers like "its within the manufacturers guidelines" and thats that,i knew the fault was not right and could have turned out worse in the summer (heat issue),i had a few more questions for her that would have swaided in again in my direction but she knew i was right and gave in.

It was result i didn't expect with a new tv but glad it turned out that way.....and it was my 50th birthday yesterday so it was a good day after all :)
 
Glad it got sorted, let's hope this new one is much better :D

Happy belated birthday too - it was my 37th yesterday! January babies apparently are the best.... or the cheapest to buy for!

New tv seems ok for now,the old one didnt start making the noise until it was 11 months old.
So we share the same birthday,you gave me the e-mails that helped me get a new tv and our birthdays are the same date....how bizarre is that :)
 
I'm sitting here watching king kong skull island on the new tv with the surround sound blaring out.......and a nice cold vodka and coke :)

Lets just hope that my 4K TV doesn't play up now - as it'll be a hattrick then :( :D
