I have a meeting with my work team Thursday around Cannon Street (London), usual 9 - 5 out of the office for the day type of thing. In the evening we're planning on going out but other than find somewhere to get food and drinks I'm fresh out of ideas. There's 8 of us, including somebody over from Poland for the week who doesn't come to London normally.

Unfortunately most activities recommended from Googling seem to be bars, clubs and cinema/theater types of thing that aren't really ideal. Looking for some inspiration, even if it's somewhere to eat and drink. Ideally also not too far north as we all live south of the river and it's a school night...

Any recommendations are welcome

Flight club near moorgate. Great fun if you book one of the dart sections, it's computer tracked and similar setup to bowling, different games can play as teams etc.

A group of 10 of us went for a work social and it was a great laugh.

How often do the team members actually see each other? .... do you really need to have an activity as such when people may just want to talk to each other face to face? My team is pretty much scattered throughout the country and we see each other very rarely so an evening out normally consists of

- meet up in a pub ... allows for people to arrive over a span of time rather than needing to be somewhere at an exact time (useful when people need to go back to hotels etc). E.g. say that you'll meet in the pub sometime between 6pm and 7:30pm and then move on to food.
- go somewhere for a meal which normally takes most of the evening.
- retire to another pub where people can continue to chat and leave earlier or later when they want too or need too.

Cheers for the ideas thus far. To answer the above - other than 1 or 2 people we all see each other regularly or daily. This isn't really a team-bonding type thing, just something appropriate where we can do something. I'd like there to be opportunity for a lot of verbal engagement so things like skydiving and related are out of the question. I was hoping to do one of those crazy golf things or an escape room but as its been booked too late its not really an option

I suppose being in the evening, i imagine you'd have to resort to indoor activities.

- Bowling
- Laser quest
- Go karting

I went Go Karting a few years back and had a blast. Great way to have some fun with friends. Then a few drinks afterwards to round off the evening.

Along similar lines, there's a table tennis place called Bounce and an indoor mini-golf place called Swingers. Both do food and drink.

Pity there weren't a few more of you for some paintball fun with challenges. When my dad came paintballing we have something like £20each on anyone that managed to hit his bald patch and leave a mark. He was like a cat though and nobody saw him. Glad to get my money back mind.

Anywhere with coke and hookers will be fine.

Great opportunities to stimulate teamwork.

we're doing a team outing next month a place in Brick Lane that does axe throwing... according to google it's called Whistlepunks.. no idea how busy they are, but it's certainly something else!
