Yep managed to download 50 which should keep me busy a day or so - although downloading was a struggle so I guess their servers struggling to cope with all the traffic.

in the computing perfences page, under network usage, set the "Computer is connected to the Internet about every" setting to something high like 7 days.

I thought that while I'm offline and not able to run Boinc due to me testing the OC that everyone would pull ahead but now you can't... mwhahahahaaa

Just run Small FFT's overnight and will now run Blend during the day on the Quad but after that everything should be A-OK

Got it running at 3551MHz after a lot of faffing around and by this time tonight I will have a quad working for me and the gap (although it will have gotten bigger today) will soon be shrinking

In a way, I'm glad that the servers went down, as both my dual and quad core machines have been down since last friday. Got them working last night and I'm going to stock pile WUs just in case the servers crash again.

Well i got up and i had a stack of wu's to crunch.

And i've just noticed that today i hit 5,000 cobblestones!
Overall not bad for 6 day's work

Temps are quite nice at 65C being the hottest core

Sorry I didn't have time to issue a parp/stomp but was out.

I think the reason I was able to 'Fly By' is because I spent more money...

Ended up buying a new mobo for the E6600 so I now have that crunching as well Only at 2.8GHz though as it's on the stock cooler

Should be good for around 1500 if on 24/7 + 4000 for the quad + ~1000 for the others...

Missus is having the E6600 though so will only be on part-time but before she get's it it's 24/7 crunching!

Didn't realise we had been so close for that long! It's been a good battle but there could be only one ween-aar!

Is that correct and you have it running at 3150MHz?

Yes 3150 is about all it will do, it might be other things limiting it but even with silly volts it won't break 3.2.
Hell, it's doing at least 30% more than it should already! there's no need to get greedy

New member of staff started today, so I have lost my best dual core crunching machine, they picked up on CPU usage straight away and I had to uninstall it...

Id pretty much given up on catching GrandMasterD and diogenese, but at least I had hope...

Really need to upgrade to quadcore soon

Could you not set it so that it only crunches when they are away?

I do that on PC's that people will notice if the CPU is 100% constantly but as soon as they leave it for a minute it starts crunching for me again

If you can get a little bit more output you can keep up with 'Retch' and might have a chance of catching Diogenese when you get your quad

I'm hoping to be catching Kev.Morris soonish...
