Nope, it's actually a good thing.

SATA SSD performance hasn't really changed since the release of SATA 3 a decade ago, thye all perform in the same ballpark. It you want noticeably more speed you need to move to a custom PCI-E design or to a PCI-E/M.2/U.2 NVMe drive.

Over time the only real change is manufacturers have made them out of cheaper components thus reducing the lifespan. the General rule for this is SLC > MLC > TLC > QLC, the Crucial is MLC, the TG is TLC.
