9900k in Max11Hero board have been running a 16gb kit of 4000mhz cl18 since febuary with no problems whatsoever. last week bought a second 16gb 4000mhz cl18 kit fully aware that the 9900k imc might not be up to 4DIMMs at 4ghz and expecting that i might have to dial them back a bit and tweak some settinigs to get the system stable. a full day of tearing my hair out later and i came to the conclusion the new kit was defective and took it back today. 3rd kit has exactly the same issues. my original kit will pass 4 cycles of memtest86 without an error but both the new kits in the same board in the same slots with the same settings fail and throw up errors on memtest. could there be a bad batch of ram or am i missing something here? my old kit and both the new ones look functionaly exactly the same with the exception of the new logo on the top of the heatspreader.
