Hey guys.

I did a Google search on this with nothing really helping.

I'v just built a new system, installed all drivers (latest) installed all updates.

I am having a really odd issue when I am browsing of watching videos online there is some major tearing(similar to having V-sync switched off in games)

Now any full screen game plays perfectly without tearing so presumably its something to do with windows rendering?

I have tried changing to several different refresh rates with no joy and the screen I am using is my old one which had no issues previously.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What connection type are you using? DSub, DVI, HDMI?

DVI to HDMI - My config is that it goes DVI from graphics card -> Asus Xonar HDAV -> Amplifier/Receiver -> Projector.

However I don't think this is the issue, my connection/layout and all other hardware is exactly as it was prior to changing my Mobo,Graphics card & processor.

Again help is much appreciated

first thing i would do is eliminate your (complicated) connection setup by testing straight from the GC to a monitor and see if it still happens.
If it does, we know thats not the problem and that its either a software issue or potentially even faulty hardware.
Have you tweaked anything software-wise or is everything completely stock. Also, have you tried other browsers and do they do the same thing?

Let us know....

Thanks again guys.

I did try a direct connection and still the same.

Upon further analysis I found that it was also doing it games too it just wasn't as noticeable. However this could be a coincidence that I don't have Vsync enabled.

EDIT: I didn't have Vsync enabled in game, after enabling tearing went away on the game so it appears the issue is isolated.

Watching Iron man on VLC does not show any tearing - Seems somewhat isolated to 2D non full screen
