Just received my new OC pc, fire it up for the first time and enter the vista id number etc it then advises you it is about to do the performance checks when it all goes wrong. The screen went green the first time and stayed that way for around 40mins. I restarted and had the same problem but the screen went blank.

I have a Samsung flat panel and am using the dvi connection for the first time as the PC does not have an analog port.

The picture comes and goes and varies in quality during the initial boot up. I'm really starting to pull my hair out about this one.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Whats the spec, that might help a little.

I cant remember, but is there any way to skip the performance test?

Here is the spec....

Standard overclockers machine, straight from the box.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz Dual Core CPU Overclocked to 3.00Hz
- Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Intel approved cooler
- Arctic Silver 5 Heatsink compound professionally hand installed by our technicians
- Abit IP35 Pro XE Intel P35 (Socket LGA775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
- Award winning Corsair Dominator 4GB PC2-8500 CAS5 (2x2GB) Dual Channel Kit (Overclocked at 1000MHz+)
- 500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 32MB Cache SATA-2 Hard Drive
- ATi Radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB GDDR5 HDTV/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) DirectX 10.1 Graphics Cards
- Pioneer DVR-216DBK 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black)
- Corsair TX 650W Next Generation Power Supply

I'm thinking its a problem with the Samsung display, trying to see if I have a spare dvi cable to try out now.
