Technet Subscribers

I've just been issued with my CD keys for Vista Ultimate and Office ultimate 2007.

Are there any limitations with these? Any time bombs at all?

nope, just the usual technet 'not to be used in a productive environment licence'

BTW; Your Personal PC does count as being in a productive environment

I thought technet was only 180 day trial versions?

If it's not time limited how comes it's co cheap compared to MSDN operating system subscription

I have just tried to subcribe to the online version and it says that it is unavailable at this time.

That's "Evaluation" keys I think, in my product list it says -

<Product_Key Name="Windows Vista Ultimate" Key="*****-*****-*****-*****-*****" Key_Type="Retail" Date_Key_Claimed="2007-01-31 07:54:35.500" />

Hmm, interesting. I have an MSDN subscription and a Technet subscription. I will check my technet subscription tomorrow and see what it says.

Certainly until this point everything I have recieved in my CD/DVD packs from technet have been time limited products for testing and evaluation, unlike MSDN which costs 4x more and is for development on those platforms

Remember they're not retail licences though, the restrictions on what you can use it for are very different.

Yeah I realise the license is different, non commercial use etc..

That also depends between licences, you are allowed to use it internally with Action Pack subscriptions, but not a normal MSDN subscription.
