Techno Classica Essen - über pic dump

That Passat GTI is cool, thought it was a mk1 scirocco for a minute.

But 205 T16 > all.

Ive been to the other site of this museaum, the one with all the army and planes etc, well worth the trip over as they have some truly awesome cars there too.
This isn't a museum- all the cars are for sale.

Superb stuff, some great motors right here. Do you mind me cross posting these somewhere else?
Knock yourself out :)

Looks much more interesting than last year, I worked the show last year and it was blazing hot sunshine for the majority of the week! Did you get any pics of the UK Rolls Royce specialists?
It was raining :p
No pics from that stand if it's the one you worked last year. Nothing really caught my eye.

Awesome, thanks for sharing the photos. :)

When going to these shows (like the NEC classic car one etc) I always think it is a shame that pretty much all of the cars on show will never be driven. :(

Ah fair enough, I'm not really into Rolls Royce that much myself, The CLK GTR looks beautiful though!

Not exactly true...The company I worked for drove a number of cars from the UK to Germany and back! Not all of these cars are garage queens for all of their lives, I met many interesting people that owned a huge variety of cars. Some people drove them like they stole them, one person that always sticks in my mind was a German chap I met who used to race a Alfa Romeo P3 in a classic racing series and he took it up and down the Autobahn to see how fast he could go!

He sold the P3 and brought a late 20's Supercharged 4.25l Bentley and did the same with that. He has a website somewhere, I can't quite remember the link though. Interestingly though he brought an Alfa 4c which he barely drives at all! I asked him why and he said he likes to look at it...

Here's The MkV Jaguar DHC that I drove out to Essen, I also used it as my daily driver whilst in Essen!

I drove this Xk150 back, we took it in Px against an Xk120

Now I work in Sainsburys full time...What has become of my life?!

Wow fantastic thread, thanks for posting these. Even an Autobianchi, never thought I'd see another after my Dad got rid of his. My personal favourite? W124 E500 in purple. Seriously. (OK, its pink)

I think the Porsche 911 GT1 and the CLK GTR roadster were my biggest surprises.
Never seen a the GT1 before. Totally forgot they even existed!

And only 6 CLK GTR Roadsters were built..

Hey mjt, great pics!

Any more pics of the silver e3 in the background in these two shots? Interior shots if possible!!
