Techno Music

Another big fan of techno here, it's what made me blow my entire student loan on a set of decks and a mixer at uni.

Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills and Ritchie Hawtin were my faves.

Good Dave Clarke set here:

The bells by Jeff Mills is probably my favourite track:

Nice DC mix, good to have such a clear shot of the mixer.

Looks like he's one something too - the love of the music heh.

Just Shazzamin' a ton of stuff

To me that is nothing. Honestly, it's a weak little beat that can be knocked out in 5 minutes on something like Maschine nowadays.

But that's just me. I never really liked techno as a pure genre, much prefer the breakout genres like trance and tech house.

The thing is, and believe me I've had this all my life. People always say, 'it's nothing', 'it's so easy'. But what you need to understand sometimes the simplicity of it is its defining feature. Just because something is simple and 'knocked out in 5 minutes' doesn't mean that you could do it or retracts from whether someone enjoys it.

Also crank that out on a loud, loud speaker system and it starts sounding how it was intended to sound.

Plus, why don't you show us your attempt since it only takes 5 minutes?

It may take 5 minutes to replicate it, but a good song isn't so easy to produce imho.

additionally remember this songs are designed to be mixed. This is where they shine.

I might also suggest if you don't like techno music you don't hang out on a techno music thread.

and FINALLY. Surely techno music gets quicker to produce since it's a computer based music.........................
