Technology in the future?

We'll have complete control over genes. We'll have cured most illnesses and you will be able to change your hair colour with over the counter gene therapy. I predict Hollywood will make a film like this nearer the time where an agent impersonates people by using gene therapy to change himself. Also weirdos will make their skin stripy, spotted and multi-coloured.

Hover boards.

Hovis boards

More serious though, a bizarre question from the op. Unless the Op is plotting something for 2030 and needs to know if his efforts will be put to use or not. It's a trap!

The earth will end another 3 times

Everything will be made in China

the world will be fat because they will have no need to walk (like the film wall-e)

The queen will still be alive

Justin bieber will still be hated by all

We will have just started rebuilding life as we know it after the zombie apocolypse that happened in 2021.

We will be scavenging the ashes and corpses of the dead for firewood and Ipad chargers.

It'll be like Mad Max. Gangs fighting for resources after the civilisation came to an end after World War III. Started by Romney, who became president and attacked Iran.

Or any other number of doomsday scenarios. Mankind can't be trusted.

The most advanced technology in your pocket will be two sticks to rub together to light a fire, just so you can cook a rat for tea and survive for one more day.

Can't wait :D

I will be very surprised if augmented reality isn't common by then, to be honest we should have it by now, most of the technology exists already in some form but hasn't come together or had anyone pushing it to market, we have the display tech, communications and mobile computing plus cameras and sensors, little to no software but that will appear quick enough when it happens, it's going to be the next big thing once people get bored of mobiles and tablets.
