Hey,

My girlfriend is 18 and is really self-concious about her teeth. I think they are absolutely fine, but she is obsessive over slight discolouration (due to smoking) and she has slightly crooked, bunched up teeth on the right of her mouth. I have just come into a bit of money, and decided I would treat her to having cosmetic treatment on her teeth. Veneers if needed, and removal/straightening of her teeth on the side.

Anyone any experiences of this? Cost/successfullness?

Cheers!

Alright then, from what I am aware (feel free to correct me anyone).

They file down the teeth to stumps and replace them with look alike crowns which fit on the top. I've heard it's pretty expensive too.

Yeah I heard it is expensive. However, money isn't an issue for me at the moment. I live in Maghull, Liverpool and found the Liverpool Dental Spa: www.liverpooldentalspa.co.uk is quite good for stuff like this. Going to phone for a consultation session in the morning.

Sounds like a good idea tbh.

Might be worth talking to you gf too and seeing if she is actually comfortable with the procedure.

Yeah, I'll give her a ring. The main thing on her mind is: 'OMG woman! Your teeth are all crooked and a disgrace!! You should be ashamed of the state of your teeth!'. I tried to tell her they're professional and YOU are the one paying THEM, without disgraceful teeth they would be out of a job, but she's having none of it! :p

Can't you get InvisBraces now? They have the same strength as the metal ones but you can hardly see them. I think Tom Cruise had them?

Thanks very much guys. Money, like I said is no object at the moment! Won The National Game in the local Bingo 2 weeks ago and just got the cheque through! :D So everyone is making lists at the moment. We'll have a little think!

Just how much are we talking about here? A ball park figure would do if u dont want to divulge the exact figure.

If its a very large sum then putting it towards a property would be a lot more wise.

Also as someone above stated, try whitening the teeth first. This may be enough to satiate her hunger for good teeth. If she then wants better teeth, then give her the veneers/braces.

I won £100,000. I need to pay off roughly £15k worth of debts. But I want to buy my loved ones presents as well. Buy what I want to buy for a bit before I invest it all and never see it for years.

Might try with the whitening first - see how it goes from there. :D
