I don't really pick characters based on how they play, well I do sometimes but mainly it's about how cool I think they are or whether I appreciate their backstory etc etc. Is Jinpachi slow though really? I never got a chance to play the game before the release, I know they gave plenty of peeps opportunity at events though.

Ahh, if he's anything like his Tekken 5 version he'll be slow as anything, I'm sure you can make him competitive amongst friends though. :)
 
All Mishima's are going to be good in Tag2 apparently.

I'm thinking about having a dislike partnership: Jin and Xiaoyu. Not sure why they are dislike but there we go.

This will be my first 3D fighter since Tekken 2 and I didn't really learn that.
I'll be on the Xbox360 as well. Preordered with the snoop DLC.

 
Really doesn't help that Kazuya is a ***** does it =) Jinpachi/Kazuya seems to be a like though looking at that list, they were close during Kazuya's younger years so that makes sense and Kazuya's Tekken 5 ending wasn't considered canon. Of the videos I looked at for TTT2 Jinpachi didn't really look slow, I'll have to see on release. I'm sure him and Kazuya will have good synergy, not long to go now =)
 
tekken tag tournament was the best out of the lot - played that game till silly hours of the morning with mates!

hope they keep it true to the original - I ain't been a fan of Tekken since then!

Early access because within a few months of release you will be able to download the content for free anyway.

I believe there was a leak on PSN yesterday which allowed you to download all the content anyway. Not sure if that was been fixed or not.
 
Ironically I think I played the bowling in the original more than the actual game, I hope they include tekken tag bowling 2!

Yep. I have high hopes for this.

The only Tekken game I have at the moment is Dark Resurrection (PS3). Surprised to say people still play it online.

I never got Tekken 6... Cant recall why!
 
Tekken 6 wasn't bad it was just the resolution was so low it was painful to play. I hope this one is genuinely 720p at the very least. T5: DR was a lovely 1080p!!
 
I'm too hype for this game right now -_- There's a lot of youtube videos going up of people in the states that have it early, trying not to spoil too much for myself though. The online mode looks incredible, I'm a tad annoyed the only place you can get Ancient Ogre is with Zavvi who generally don't have a good track record of getting games to people on time. I preordered from shopto and I think I get Angel and Michelle Chang but I have no interest in either.

I think it's all going to be free mate actually, Harada has said he really doesn't believe in the paid DLC approach that a lot of companies take nowadays so the TTT2 DLC should be free. I think when it was leaked on PSN it was free so that's a good indication. Hopefully we don't have to wait long for it, shouldn't be longer than a month.
 
Oh that would be brilliant but Valve and Epic have been made to charge for DLC on content that would have other wise been free. It would be strange if MS have made an exception... But here's hoping!
