but the address is in london
I wouldn't imagine they would operate here without some form of base here.

If you think its a scam it probably is. Wait and see if they get in touch again.

ok they only give you 14days...bit dodgy sounding

also what does this mean:
'By calling or writing to customer services you may bar your telephone number for any future call to services billed by telebilling' (this was in fine print)
to me that sounds like i have been added to their list and will continue to send me this scams

if they have the number wrong on the bill, send them a letter to the address stateing you don't know who they are, what they are trying to charge you for and that they have the wrong number - if they really want your money they can prove you used their services :)

Get in-touch with trading standards and ask them about it.

The first sensible thing said in this thread. I'd temper that with saying speak to citizens advice first, they can pass you onto trading standards if it is an illegal billing scam.

you naughty boy whatever have you been up to?

Found that via a 5 second google search.

Looks likes its for premium adult services where the cost of the "service" is billed via the phone call and not via the actual price of the call.

tsk tsk ;)

edit: oh and I am guessing that your profile DOB is correct therefore the main reason that you are worried is that ton pere et mere are about to find out? :p

*Looks Up*
Please let this be the case - I so need cheering up this afternoon and a post that turns out to be from a worried person who has racked up a large phone bill via adult chat-lines would probably do that!

The OP will need to pay for the phone-per-spank service (if, indeed, he was partaking of a little telephonic titillation).

The 14 days part is debatable, and could be deemed unreasonable - You would ned to contact them, however. A court would not look kindly on you if you decline to contact the fun-phone-financiers.

The suggestion, in the link that Bar posted, of a penalty charge for late payment is entirely unreasonable, and I would not expect payment to be enforceable.

It does appear to be a standard pr0n service scam.

Where's the comedy in that then? How disappointing . . . :/
