I have been fairly lucky to have been born into an aristocratic family

care to elaborate???

becuase imho someone who has been born into such a family would have far too much "class" to talk about it / type it / tell anyone about it....

is this all bs???

In first year I would immediately snigger if someone shook my hand with a feeble handshake and said 'pleased to meet you' but now I look past that.

So you're saying you used to be a complete asshat and now you're getting better?

Is your surname Fulford by any chance? :p

i doubt it, but at least that would make the OP beliveable.

"uneasily middle-class"

None of those questions have anythnig to do with class, only the stereotypes related with them.

Edit: TOILET!

There is a class system in all countries, not just the UK. I don't think you can ever really remove class completly, infact it may even be beneficial in some ways.

And Sofa not sette as well as living room not lounge!
