Telephone Interview

Good luck with it :)

Very quick thread hijack, I applied for a job via a companies website and yesterday they called while I was out. (Housemate took it.) The lady left her name, then emailed me as well to say she'd called for a phone interview and asked when would be best to try again. I said any time today or tomorrow morning, but today went by without her phoning again. Should I just wait for her to call back, or email again to say I'm still free? (I'm not going anywhere much during the day as I dont have a job yet! ;))

a reply mail expressing your continued interest and re-confirming your full contact details wont hurt. but be polite and patient, likely she's way more busy than you are ;)

ill be on tomorrow night after work olv :D
would join now but im about to hit the sack, hard!

Ian - cool :D
Once i have settled down tomorrow i will see what i can do :D

I only found out the company that im applying for today! the recruitement agency didnt want to say beforehand. so im hoping not too many questions about the company or its brand will be asked!

company made £266m profit last year! Its the biggest in its uk market and possibly the same for worldwide.

im nervous as hell!

get one of those voice changer things or put the phone next to the computer after its been changed to a steven hawkin type voice
record it aswell

sorry olv, been working silly hours. was working till 2am last night!!

if im not on irc then you should get me on msn [email protected] :D

how did it go? hard to tell really. seems like a small setup where the man who interviewed me reported directly into the director for the area.
they will be discussing my application to see if and how they wish to continue with it.

you jsut never know until you get that call! should know early next week.

it was meant to of been at 9am, but i was called at 8.50 to say he wouldnt be in work due to traffic, he would call me back about 9.30 ish, called again at 9.40 to say still not in!
finally he was in work and able to call me at 11am, we spoke for about half an hour, we both asked the generic questions really, i seemed to give quite full and long answers, as he commented that there was no need to ask most questions as i answered them within other answers!
would be nice to be asked to go up to Harrow for a face to face interview. but tbh im not expecting anything, rather not get my hopes up!

should have posted sooner!

had excellent feedback but was missing one very essential experience that was essentially essential! never mind tho!

had another telephone interview with a betting exchange that imo was bad, but ive been invited to a face to face interview (soon!), seems it was a lot more positive that i realised! would mean working in hammersmith.

also have a full telephone interview (instead of a good preliminary one, a full one, with line manager,hr rep, genesys consultant) with a top pensions company. could mean working in surry!

hopefully will have a new job soon :D

just been speaking to the agency, the benefits package is quite impressive!

site has gym / tennis courts / pitch and putt golf course to start with!
hoping this one goes really really well :]
