At 50 quid max budget unfortunately you aren’t going to get something new that won’t be a massive disappointment. Second hand market you might just pick up a deal with a bit of luck but at that budget you’re better off with a decent pair of bino’s and a tri/uni pod

This.

Below £500 is pretty much pointless, you'll get a slightly zoomed in view of the moon, and that's all it would be good for it. Save your money.
Not true at all, plenty to be had sub 500 but not as low as 50quid. Cheap entry scopes it’s not actually the magnification that lets the scopes down but usually awful mounts that wobble at the slightest of breezes

This is exactly right, you need bigger money to meaningfully view the planets and a £50 telescope will only get you decent views of the moon and leave you wanting more.

I've bought several 2nd hand ones, getting progressively more expensive and capable. Whereabouts are you @psd99

I have a 7" telescope, which I have not used for some years. I will get it out this week, as there is good views of the planets.
For £1400 you can get a good 8" telescope.
For £50. You best buy 10 x 50 binoculars that give good views of constellations.

Somone asked where I am from
