Telescopic ladders

Get them from the parent company B&Q, as they are cheaper at the moment. Sign up to the the B&Q club thing and they send you a £5 off voucher making them even cheaper.

Nice little saving there thanks for that, I'm going to order at lunch time today but I'm struggling to confirm they are the exact same ladders because the closed height is 2m on b&q and different on Screwfix and there was something else did t match that I can't remember I'll have a proper look when I get a few mins at dinner

Interesting. Screwfix stock was always ropey on them. I'm sure the ones I have are 7 rung, but I'm not at home to check. B&Q had a similar problem, their product info was inaccurate and the stock was wrong. At the time they were out of stock according to the website, but they had about 20 sets of them in store when I went down to look!

Thanks for the links. The Mac Allister one was perfect in terms of storage, height (4.65m) and cost. The Youngman ones are expensive and dont seem to be as tall but I'll have a proper look at them, I'm not sure I trust a random brand off Amazon for something like this I'm already scared to death of ladders

Yeah ladders can vary in price Youngman seem expensive but they are quality and made in England, but their are ones I found that make that look cheap :).

The Mac Allister one's look good value but only If you can actually buy the one you need.

I'm tearing my hair out tbh, getting to the point where I am bored of looking. I'll go B&Q on Friday which I booked the day off for, if there isnt anything I'll just pay someone to do it and look again when the garage is built and I have better storage options widening my choice a bit.

Thinking about it I dont know why I'm looking at combination ladders, I already have steps that are about 2m so might start looking at normal extension ladders too

I had some step ladders I sold before getting a combination ladder, mainly due to not having the need or the space for both.

I have a Mac Allister folding step ladder / platform and a Hailo combination ladder that are on their second of use for general DIY/maintenance and I can’t fault them for the money.

I fully expect both ladders to outlast me.

How high do the Hailo get you do you know? I need them to reach roughly half up the second story of a 3 bed semi, I see these are on Amazon so would make ordering easy

Never mind, just seen the price of them
