Telewest Upgrade to 20Mb !!!

Just been looking at my modem and this show up ,Looks like telewest has upgraded they network :) again , But i hope the price will fall from the £35.00



What do you guys think
 
so i am right thinking that it is 20Mb/768K ?

And no i am not paying £35.00 anymore phone up and told that in the 5 years i been with allways paid top price and now there was orther out there offing good deal and next Minute i was told i chould have my 10 mb next 12months for £17.50 (wich is now 20Mb ;) ) so i very happy
 
Cool, will look forward to being able to get this. I'm on 10mbit at the moment and 1200KB/sec is almost seeming slow now :) Even though my exchange has a few LLU options, ADSL2+ is completely out of the equation for me due to a crappy phone line.

I'm on the 10mb too, hopefully this will be rolling out to us all soon :D

Telewest is completely unlimited too. And 10mb means 10mb, I guess it will be the same with the 20mb connection.

How many people actually get the 24mb with be-there? Do you get the full 24mb? unless you live on top of the exhange I doubt it ;)

Also, even if you get the full 24mb, an extra 4mb is hardly 'eating alive' is it ;)
 
Are they upgrading all the packages or just the top one?

I am on their 2mb service atm.

nah i get about 20Mb but mine is cheaper :p!!!
 
I herd about this a few months back from a guy on this board who was saying TW were going to be upgrading there speeds to somewhere around this.
Can't wait for the upgrade :D
Hopfully it wont take until march like it did this year!
And I agree with you, 1.2meg does seem slow now that you get used to it. Back 5 years ago I would have been beeming with delite with such speeds :D

I get just under 21meg from ukonline which is very good:D
and that is what i call unlimited.
ie i can download as much as i want and they never say a word.:D

not bad for £29.99 a month.

what area are you in if you dont mind me asking?
our area is usually 2nd to get upgraded :D

You also get a 1.3mb upload with be*. Its when ntl/by start doing 10mb down and 10mb up that it will be really good.
 
How do you get to that page about the cable modem? I think I have the same model as you.
 
I live near dudley and my Telewest 10 mb is just unstable. One minute it's 10mb, the next it's 0.5. :rolleyes:

Telewest are going down the pan.

I started to notice the drop when on 4 MB and thought, oh well i'll upgrade to 10 and see how its goes, but its still the same. There isn't a fault it's just that the service has gone down the pan.

I'm off that i can't even get a stable 10 Mb connection while other people are getting 20 MB. :(

Don't swear. Even disgused... FF
