Where do people get reasonable quality not too expensive socks?

ive been buying cheap tesco plain black socks for years on the principal they are cheap so it does not matter they don't last all that long

But they have changed the material recently and they dont last at all... and they shed black stuff all round hte house,

I could google it but every store thinks their socks are the best

WILSON Socks? I assume they constantly prattle on about "immigrants", "the country is too full" and "bloody boats" ? :D :D :D

Charity shop /thread.

M&S are alright.
I paid about £15 for a pack of five pairs about two years ago. Only one pair is left without holes, and they weren't socks I wore in constant rotation. I used to wear socks for years (with occasional washes, obvs!:D) but I'm not going to risk M&S again. I'll buy cheaper and not be too disappointed if they fall apart quickly. It is, sadly, increasingly hard to be sure you're paying for quality rather than branding.

Disclaimer: I don't drive, and the bus service round here's useless, so I walk a lot.
