Just wondering what the best way of monitoring the temperature of my graphics card is, I have a BFG 8800GTX OC and run Windows Vista 64bit. Also what is a reasonable temperature range for a graphics card, according to riva tuner mine is at about 73 idle, which seems pretty toasty to me

Any help much appreciated.

just to add to my previous post, seems my 850watt antec truepower psu is behaving badly as well atm, seems like the fan is going nuts atm and making a lot of noise for no reason, has anyone else had this experience or got any tips about it?

73 does seem a little high, although I'm not too sure with the GTXs, I'd wait for someone to back me up on that claim, lol

Hi, the speed of the PSU fan is controlled by temperature, you may have an issue within your case...

Mine runs around 54c idle.. you might want to check the fan settings, set mine to run around 60% until it hits 60c then it ups the speed from there can be a little loud to have it at 100% whole time if your not gamming

played a bit with the fan settings, got idle to about 60 now, seems the fan was set a bit low. I have used rivatuner btw to set the fan speed, is there a good alternative, vista 64bit doesn't get along well with rivatuner, complains on startup that rivatuner is trying to run and gets all annoying.

Also, my psu did used to be quiet, just seems the little fan got all annoyed recently and has started making a lot of noise, not sure really what I can do about it, I guess I could increase case fan speeds, to try and lower ambient temperature, any clever ideas about something I can use to do that?

Thanks
