temp problems

bought a thermaltake soprano and i only get a 10C drop in temps (59C to 49C) im still running stock heatsink/fan so would a tuniq tower get me down to mid 30's?

A tuniq tower would be a vast improvement over the stock intel fan, even something like the arctic freezer 7 pro would do a far better job

Hard to say depends on room temp and airflow accross the case.
I would suspect the idle will proberly drop but to mid 30's can't say, I'm running water cooling on my cpu and temps are around 35-40c idle.
You would see a great improvement on full load temps.

Theese are my idles, with a TRUE and 2x2000 rpm fans in push/pull, 2x2000 rpm intakes and 1x2000rpm exhaust, currently all fans are @1000rpm controlled by an akasa junior fan controller.

Im not showing off by any means, just giving you an idea of what can be achieved with air cooling, youve already mentioned the tuniq tower which is a very good cooler, and well priced. You have a pretty nice system and something like the tuniq cooler would compliment it very well
