Hey was wondering if my pc temps seem ok. With speedfan it says that my temps are: GPU 50c, System 26c, CPU 87c, AUX 58c, rest on 26 to 30. the GPU, CPU, AUX has flames next to them but on CoreTemp my temps are much lower. My first build so i aint sure which of the 2 programs are the best at temps. all i know is my pc can be very noisy cus of my case molex fans.

Ignore speedfans CPU reading it is wrong and I would advise using the motherboards hardware monitoring software for an overall CPU temp, but you have Core Temp running there too and it reads clearly very good tempertures for your CPUs cores :), so just ignore speedfans CPU results. You can confirm the temp of the cpu by going into the motherboards BIOS/UEFI and there you can access the hardware monitoring area and read the temps from there too. What motherboard do you have ?

ah nice to know then i was kinda hopeing speed fan was wrong lol. i have the Asus P868-V LX (sandybridge) board. because its my first self built pc i keep thinking stuff is wrong, stuffs over heating etc etc main reason being normally all things i touch break lol.

Install the ASUS PC ProbeII software that is on the CD that came with the motherboard, that will give you the system temps too and more things you can monitor like voltages and fan speeds etc.

Naa don't worry it looks fine from the core temp data there. Speed fan can't read all the temps correctly on every board.

ah thanks a lot. I did have the asus suite installed but removed it as it was all running on startup in processes. I'll grab it again and have a look around.
