Finishing off my new system I added a few extra temperature sensors partly as a minor enhancement to cooling (I have my pumps really slow for low noise at idle so I decided to add another sensor so I could ramp them up a bit during gaming once the water temp rises) and partly as nice-to-have. I'm used to most of my temperature control being via my Aquacomputer Octo inputs which have precision to 2 decimal places. So I was surprised to see that the motherboard inputs EC_TEMP1 (from the additional water temp sensor which is an Alphacool plug) and EC_TEMP2 (from one of the sensors which Gigabyte provide with the mobo) only have 1 degree precision. Is this expected? I couldn't see anything in the BIOS which controls the precision. I guess it doesn't matter too much because I don't need fine control of pump speed and the other sensor is for information only, but if there is something I have missed it would be great to know.
